Overview
Imagine your staff coming down to work. To record their attendance now, they do not have to use “classical” methods such as punch cards or manually writing down their attendance on paper. Instead they just place their thumb on a Biometrics machine. The machine recognises the fingerprint of the person and automatically stores the time in and/or out of that person. At the end of the month the payroll of your entire staff is automatically generated.

The Process:
Staff entering or leaving the office/factory use the biometric machine at the point of entry. The date and time is recorded on the biometrics machine. The Human Resource department can download the data at any time from the PC wired to the biometric machine. The data is exported to the S-Tech Biometrics Staff Management System and converted into the working hours chart, i.e., date in, time in, time out, working hours and overtime hours.

After confirmation, the system will create the payment chart. The payment chart will show the number of days, the staff has work including the leave, late and overtime hours.

The benefits and deductions are also entered. Upon confirmation of the data, the payroll is generated and transmitted to the bank to debit the staff’s account or payment can alternatively be made via cash/cheque.
Other Features
Leave Module
The leave module will keep track of the entitled leaves such as maternity leave and compassionate leave, for each person. The system also monitors the number of leaves taken and the balance available for each staff. The leave taken is also automatically updated into the payment chart.Payment Chart
The payment chart displays information such as the number of:
days worked
leaves taken
hours late
days absent
sick leaves taken
overtime hours
The system adds the benefit bonuses/allowances and shows the deductibles such as providence funds on the payment chart.
Additional Payroll System Module
The data taken from the payment chart updates the payroll system. The payroll system can then allow for multiple payments to be made in a month. The payments can either be by inter-bank data or by cash/cheque. Pay slips are printed by the system.Reports sorted by department, by section or by grade can be generated.
